Mofufus League: Game of the Week: Pitino's Posse vs Dubsquad

It's supposed to be Fall already but yet it feels like a hot and stuffy summer day at the gym. The game of the week features a battle of the old vs the young. Tin East. Alhambra High School small gym. Pitino's Posse, a team consisted of players who were 35 and over went against a younger crew, the Dubsquad. These "old guys" held their ground and looked great at the start of the game (only had 5 players during most of the game). However the young legs were too much as the Dubsquad pulled away during the last 10 minutes of the game.

Mofufus League: Game of the Week: Built 4 Tin vs Game, Blouses

The Mofufus Blog is officially back! It definitely felt great to hit the wood floor again, not just to ref a few games and photograph the G.O.T.W. but also to put a little sweat on and play in a basketball game. The first day of the Fall League felt like the middle of Summer.  Hot and humid. Hopefully all of you were able to lose a few pounds playing in the hot and stuffy gyms.

What a way to kick of the Game of the Week. Sudden death. Built 4 Tin vs Game, Blouses in the Bronze East at Mark Keppel High School. A slow first half by both teams finally went down to the wire in the 2nd half. A last second layup by Game, Blouses put the game into overtime. With an opportunity at the line for two free throws in overtime, Game, Blouses was not able capitalize and the game went into sudden death. With another chance at the free throw line, Game, Blouses fail to convert again and Built 4 Tin ended the game with a reverse layup.

Mofufus Blog: Returns for the 2009 Fall League

We're happy to announce that the Mofufus Blog has return for the 2009 Fall League. This season marks a record number of teams that registered. 12 divisions. 90 teams. We welcome back the use of Alhambra High School, both the big and small gymnasiums. This definitely put a few smiles to all the local Alhambra participants. We also incorporated a few of the latest social technologies so don't forget to follow us on Twitter and become a fan to our Facebook page. Another service we hope to provide very soon is customized league jerseys. The list goes on as we're constantly trying to find different avenues to keep the league fun and exciting to all the participants and supporters. Don't forget to drop us an email or phone call if you ever have any great ideas or suggestions (yes, even complaints).

As the league kicks off this Sunday, please check back often for updates, news, game photos, basketball talk or a simple what's up. Thanks again to all the players and staff for their participation and loyal support. Be safe, have fun and good luck this season!
